No one but us: a unique formulation
Vallonea is built around xanthurenic acid (XA), a small molecule the body makes from the amino acid tryptophan. To our knowledge, no cosmetic on the market is built around it. Keeping XA stable in a skincare base is the difficult part; how we do it is ours alone, and US patent pending.
Coming soon, exclusively
Our first product, a night serum, is in development, with a US launch planned for 2027. It will not go on sale until its safety has been substantiated, and then only here, directly from us.
About us
Founded by a physician-scientist whose research on tryptophan metabolism led to this formulation. Small, based in Florida and Stockholm, and partial to data over adjectives. Named for the valonia oak, whose acorns supplied the Mediterranean with tannin for eight hundred years. Licensing inquiries welcome.
The science
Established: XA is a natural tryptophan metabolite, and it reacts to light – hence a night product, in opaque, airless, metal-free packaging. Being tested: its stability in a cosmetic base. Not shown: any effect on skin.
